            Lobelia inflata
   Indian Tobacco, Pukeweed

            Lobeliaceae

This is another one of those great medicinal plants that have seeds the size of dust.

Indian Tobacco can be bi-annual or annual depending on your soil and climate.
Indian Tobacco seed planted in late summer or early winter will be ready for a full flowering the following summer.

The tiny flowers of Pukeweed decorate the upright stalks, giving way, eventually to the inflated seedpods that give it's name.

Packet of 30+ seeds $3.50

Our primary use of Lobelia inflata is homeopathic, as a great pain reliever.

Due to its Emetic properties, for which it has a wide reputation, it is best handled
(medicinally), with extreme caution.

Many states prohibit it's use or importation, so please check first as we will not send it if we are aware of restriction.
